The 100 People Foundation works to educate the world about all the different cultures, religions, and lifestyles. They have compiled research to portray the global population in 100 people, so that the whole population can be recognized in a way that is easy to understand.

[Exploris Middle School]
After the fashion of the 100 People Foundation project, Exploris Middle School 7th graders have taken Wake County's population and turned it into 100 people. These 100 representatives of Wake County help to create an appreciation for and understanding of difference in our community.

Today, 44 percent of our Wake County 100 were born in a state other than North Carolina, and 11 percent were born in other countries. Some of our new neighbors are from as far away originally as Liberia, El Salvador, Switzerland, and Sudan.
