Narrative:
Kaitlin is not like every other second grader; she does not have to worry about waking up early to catch the school bus. Why? The reason is because Kaitlin is home schooled. Instead of having twenty other classmates Kaitlin has one, her older brother. Kaitlin also has one older sister. Kaitlin likes being home schooled. She says, “I am glad I am home schooled because there are no mean people that tease me or as many annoying people, except Sean.” One thing that she says she does not like about home schooling is that K-12, the online schooling program they use, is a little harder than regular school and takes a little more brain power. A typical Monday for Kaitlin is waking up around 7:20 as she hears her sister Laura getting ready for school downstairs. By the time she is downstairs ready for school, Mommy is making breakfast. As she waves good-bye to her sister, she swallows a bite of pancakes. School starts at 8:30 sharp. Another thing she likes about home schooling is that she does her subjects with her mom one-on-one. She has to complete about four assignments before she can have a break. School is almost done around lunchtime. After a nice meal she enjoys a twenty to thirty minute break from school.
