Narrative:

As one of today’s youth John says leaving Wilson, North Carolina to move to

Raleigh was very hard for him. He movedto Wake County to attend NC State and

major in business.As a freshman, John has only lived in Wake County a short

time but he says he really enjoys living here. As an African American living in Wake County, John doesn’t think ofhis race as playing a big role in his life. When he first moved to Wake County, John’s first impression was that this would be a great place to live, although he is concerned about Wake’s homeless people. This problem has motivated him to volunteer at the American Red Cross.
