Narrative:

Golda’s proudest moment was adopting her two children, Lily and Jennie. Lily was adopted from An Hui Province, in China and Jennie from Jian Xi Province, also from China. Jennie was adopted when she was five months old on October 31, 1994 and Lily was adopted on February 12, 1998 when she was nineteen months old. Golda was very happy when she realized she was going to get to adopt a baby girl from China. She waited seven months to hear this good news. On her first trip to China, she brought her sister Ellyn along with her because Golda didn’t know exactly how to take care of a baby all by herself. This trip was a success because she was able to bring back a baby girl that Golda named Jennie. Golda’s second trip to China was different. This time, she waited at least a year and a half to hear from the adoption agency. She also went with a group of people who were also adopting a child from China. Now, Golda knew how to take care of a child. On that second trip, she brought back a second child that she named, Lily.
