Narrative:
Every morning, Brooke and her siblings trudge downstairs to eat breakfast, and then, head for school, which just so happens to be in their living room! Brooke is in high school math, and is working on many Algebra problems. She gets to sleep in at home- school but she really wants to go to a public school so she can meet new people. As well as being very gifted in her studies, she is also gifted in music. Brooke enjoys strumming out her favorite Christian songs on her guitar, as well as her own songs. Nevertheless, after volunteering at her church to set up the dining hall on Wednesday, she heads off to piano lessons with her sister. Even if that didn’t seem like enough to do in one day, after dinner, she goes to sing in her church choir. Brooke is a very friendly person and tries to make friends with everyone, even the people who don’t agree with her opinions.
When Brooke moved to North Carolina, from New York, she thought of one simple word that would probably make her new home fun. That happened to be the word “beach.” She agrees that the beach has made her new home more fun and enjoyable. She has also been there quite frequently, which makes her feel included in the community.
Although she is not particularly affected by her race, she is part Native American and also European. Brooke says that she does not believe in a religion, but she believes in a “free gift” (from God), and she goes to her church every Sunday. Being as close as she is to her religion, she prays to God each day before all her meals and before she goes to bed. She is also working her way up to actually being baptized which in the Christian community shows that she is a Christian who is going to devote her life to God.
