Colorful, thoughtful, inviting, this is the way of a pansy in the winter. Though not a flower herself, Becky cares for them. Becky is about 70 years old, and cares for her plants and flowers, some of which are older than she. She has lived in North Carolina most of her life, along with her gardens of flowers. She went to a public school, for elementary school, middle school, and high school. As a teenager, she worked at department stores and at a dime store making popcorn. After attaining her degree in teaching, she took on a full-time job as a teacher. She has been married for over 40 years and has three children and a few grandchildren. She and her husband live together, in their own home, which is about 100 feet by 250 feet. Her property contains many gardens and flowers, which Becky takes care of as if they were her children. Becky says that her proudest moment was when she accepted Christ. Becky said she was glad that she and her husband were able to raise a Christian family of wonderful kids, who are now raising their own children.
