Contributing financially to Exploris Middle School is an investment in your student's education. Exploris Middle School is a 501(c)(3) organization. Cash gifts are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Ways To Give

Cash – Cash gifts can be made as a one-time donation or may be paid in installments toward a pledge.

Gifts of Securities – Securities can be given in lieu of a cash gift. If the security has appreciated in value, you may avoid paying taxes on the gains by gifting the stock directly to the school. We recommend that donors consult their financial advisor before making financial decisions.

Matching Gifts – You may be able to double or even triple your gift to the school. Many employers will match gifts made by their current employees or retirees to non-profit organizations like Exploris Middle School. Your company’s human resource department will be able to provide more information regarding these types of gifts and can provide the form you need to easily increase your participation level at Exploris Middle School.

Gifts In-Kind – Some donors take the opportunity to give to the school by providing tangible items such as computers, office or athletic equipment, books or other items related to our educational program. The Parent-Teacher Organization can help you determine the acceptability of gifts.

Planned Gifts – You can remember Exploris Middle School by leaving a gift in your will or estate plan. Making a planned gift may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, you may experience tax advantages or income for a number of years or life.

Multi-Year Pledges or Major Gifts – For larger gifts to the school, pledges can be paid over several years.

General Mills "Box Tops for Education": Take an extra minute to inspect your General Mills purchases and send their Box Tops in to the school where bins are located in each classroom.

How "Box Tops for Education" Works

The "Box Tops for Education" program allows you to earn cash for Exploris every time you buy groceries. Clip Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating General Mills products (click here for a full list), then send the clipped Box Tops to EMS. General Mills will send EMS a check worth 10¢ for each Box Tops coupon redeemed (up to a maximum of $20,000 annually). EMS earned $542 for the 08-09 school year! Help Exploris Through Everyday Shopping

Many programs exist that allow you to earn money for Exploris Middle School every time you shop. These programs start over each year, so you must designate EMS as your "school of choice" every fall. Ask relatives and friends to link up, too.
