EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN

Exceptional Services Office is the primary contact for the following services

· Student Support Team (SST)
· 504 Accommodation Plans to qualifying students
· Individualized Education Plans (IEP)

Exploris' Student Support Team is a resource for students, teachers, and parents to explore reoccurring concerns that affect academic progress. This team includes the director, exceptional children's teacher, grade level representatives, the parents, and child.

Exploris Individualized Education Plans (IEP's) follow IDEA procedures governing the identification and services (IEP's) for children with disabilities.

504 Accommodation Plans are developed for students with handicaps who qualify under section 504 of the American Disabilities Act.
